Patna: The police on Wednesday registered an FIR against four persons for allegedly killing a cart-puller during a dispute under Khajekalan police station area in the state capital late Tuesday night. The miscreants slitted the throat of the victim near his house.
The deceased was identified as Santosh Kumar (25). He was living near a private school in the area.He had returned home late at night after completing his daily work. Santosh was preparing for his dinner when some persons sitting opposite his house on the road called him. Santosh reached there. Then they started quarrelling among themselves. Suddenly a fight ensued. During the fight, one of the persons took out a knife from his pocket and attacked Santosh. Soaked in blood, Santosh fell down on the ground. The persons involved in the fight fled the spot after the incident.
Khajekalan SHO Rahul Kumar Thakur said the complaint was lodged by Ajay Kumar, the elder brother of Santosh. “He has named four persons of the same area. The accused are neighbours. All are absconding after the incident. The police are conducting raids at the possible hideouts of the suspects and investigating the case from all angles,” he said.
