9 persons injured in two pile up of vehicles on Amritsar-Delhi highway | Ludhiana News – Times of India

LUDHIANA: Around nine persons suffered injuries after two pile ups of multiple vehicles due to low visibility because of fog on the National Highway near Khanna on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, after the accidents, cops from Sadak Suraksha Force reached the spot and got the vehicles shifted from the road to avoid further accidents.
As per reports, there was dense fog along the Amritsar Delhi National Highway in Khanna area on Sunday morning. The reports suggest that because of fog, the visibility was quite low along the road that caused problems to commuters.
Police officials said that at around 8.05 am on Sunday, due to fog six vehicles had a pile up on the National highway in Khanna area. They added that the vehicles included a bus, two trucks, a pickup vehicle and two cars and the accident happened in the area of Khanna city two police station and Sadar area.
Police said that in the accidents, a bus driver and two other persons including a female got injured and they were hospitalized.
