Network Rail are on site assessing the damage and the required repairs after a landslip in the Bicester North area.

The line towards the Midlands is blocked and services between Oxford and London Marylebone are unable to run and will be cancelled.

Chiltern Railways said a reduced service is able to run between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone.

Disruption is expected to continue until Monday January 15 at the earliest, it said.

Customers are advised to check the journey before travelling.

Chiltern Railways said engineers are “working as quickly as possible to repair the damaged section of railway”.
