Ahv Does A U-turn, Says He Is With Saffron Party | Mysuru News – Times of India

Mysuru/ Hassan: MLC AH Vishwanath, who had asserted that he was nominated by the governor as he was a writer and does not belong to BJP, on Wednesday made a U-turn.
Vishwanath, a former minister, said he is associated with BJP and will work for NDA in Mysuru and Mandya segments.
He said he has criticised Congress, BJP and JD(S) leaders. “But my opposition is not targeted against any leader but against an ideology or issued-based,” Vishwanath said.
According to him, politics has become personality-based as political parties died a death long ago.
The MLC admitted that he had approached Congress seeking ticket to fight the general polls from Mysuru but claimed that he has now changed his stand as political polarisation is happening across India as the nation needs a strong leadership. “After BJP named Yaduveer KC Wadiyar as the candidate, I decided to support him. At that point, if Congress had offered me a ticket, I would have said no. We are indebted to the Mysuru maharajas who developed the erstwhile Mysuru state. It is our duty to support the Mysuru royal family,” he said.
BJP brass has not warned me, says Preetham
BJP state general secretary and former MLA Preetam J Gowda on Wednesday said BJP leaders have not warned him about the allegations that he was not campaigning for JD(S) candidate Prajwal Revanna.
When asked about former PM H D Deve Gowda’s complaint to BJP brass against him, Preetham said: “BJP leaders have not issued any warning or direction to me. I will not yield to any pressure.” The party leaders have given him the responsibility of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha segments.
