Bhu Prof Nominated For Tech Advisory Group On Nphce | Varanasi News – Times of India

Varanasi: Prof Anup Singh, founder head of the department of Geriatric Medicine, Institute of Medical Sciences, BHU has been nominated as a member of the Technical Advisory Group on National Programme for Health Care of the Elderly (NPHCE) for providing technical support to the government in implementation of the programme activities in the country. Prof Singh is the nodal officer of the NPHCE in IMS, BHU.
According to the BHU spokesperson, the committee formed by the ministry of health and family welfare will review and consider evidence on elderly health care for refining the existing guidelines in terms of provision of elderly health care. The committee will also ensure creation of uniform administrative policies at every regional and national centre for enhancing the quality of implementation of the NPHCE in the states/UTs.
The committee has been formed to review the operational guidelines from time to time in view of updated guidelines and objectives set at the global level/national by the WHO and to share and exchange the programmatic update/challenges experienced in the field of geriatrics.
The committee will also provide technical inputs for training modules, and innovative ideas to implement and strengthen the NPHCE.
