CHENNAI: All infrastructure work in and around Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus in Kilambakkam on the outskirts of Chennai will be completed by November 20. The terminus would be inaugurated by chief minister M K Stalin after that, said CMDA minister P K Sekar Babu on Tuesday.
The minister, housing and urban development secretary C Samayamoorthy , CMDA member secretary Anshul Mishra and others inspected construction work on Tuesday morning.
“The inauguration was delayed as there was no proper infrastructure around the terminus to drain water and address traffic congestion. Work on expansion of four additional roads and storm water drains are nearing completion,” said Sekar Babu.
He added that work on constructing a police station would begin soon.
