Speaking at a party event at Malavalli on Friday evening, he stated that Kumaraswamy will be admitted to a hospital whenever elections are nearby.“He will stay at the hospital for three days. He will undergo a heart surgery. On the fourth day, he will be touring the state. I do not understand how that is possible,” he said.
“Cheluvanna (district minister N Cheluvarayaswamy) has the same heart problem as his friend Kumaranna. If he gets admitted, he doesn’t come out for a month. I don’t understand how he (HD Kumaraswamy) can be discharged from the hospital just two days after a heart operation,” he said.

“He will now seek votes saying he has several health problems. I request all of you not to listen to Kumaraswamy’s words. It would be best if you asked him about his achievements when he was in power,” he said.
JD(S) and BJP leaders criticised the Congress MLA for his statement.
Speaking to reporters, JD(S) leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy said such a statement does not suit senior leaders like Ramesha Bandisiddegowda. “There is no need to prove that Kumaraswamy underwent surgery. We are not seeking sympathy votes saying he underwent an operation,” he said.
“My father’s heart valves were replaced a month before the 2018 assembly election. He took up the responsibility of strengthening the party within a month after the surgery,” he added. “This time, he underwent surgery for three-and-a-half hours,” said Nikhil Kumaraswamy. “Let Ramesh Bandisiddegowda remember his past. Let him remember who nurtured his political career,” he said.
Mysuru MP Pratap Simmha stated that making such low-level comments is a habit of Congress leaders.
