Mysuru: Former minister CT Ravi on Monday said state government is trying to fool people claiming that it has implemented the five guarantee schemes. The BJP leader said if people support Congress on the basis of their performance, there will be bomb blasts in the state.
Speaking to reporters, he said Congress, which indulged in corruption, has now become communal and has lost its credibility.
“It is now seeking to divide the nation, which is clear from its manifesto. It teamed with urban Naxals and Talibans to draft its manifesto,” he said. It divided the nation in 1947 which is trying to repeat now by speaking about regional imbalance and trying to divide the nation on caste and religion lines, Ravi added.
Though the Modi government has extended funds to the state, the Siddaramaiah government has charged the Centre of discrimination, he said. “While the Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has clarified about the issue, the state government is misleading the people. Though I have asked Congress leaders to take an oath at Sri Chamundeshwari temple, they have not responded,” he stated.
BJP has not neglected Vokkaligas: Ravi
While Ravi said the party has not neglected Vokkaliga leaders as claimed by the opposition leaders, he added CM Siddaramaiah is trying to play the caste card in Mysuru segment. “But Congress candidate from Mysuru M Lakshmana has no credibility. He is nicknamed as loose talk Lakshmana by Congress leaders,” he claimed.
