Varanasi: Three persons accused of gangraping a BTech student in IIT-BHU at gunpoint on November 2 were arrested during a checking drive late Saturday night. The youths allegedly gang-raped the student and made a video forcing the girl to remove her clothes at gunpoint. Massive protests were held on the campus after the incident.

A 17-and-a-halfyear-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three men after being kidnapped at gunpoint from Alwar. The accused, identified as Manoj Saini, Kedar Saini, and Narendra Sharma, forced her to drink alcohol and took her to a hotel where they raped her. The survivor mentioned that one of the accused had threatened her. The police have detained the three accused.

A 17-year-old girl who went missing from Vizag city on December 18 was traced to Odisha on December 22. She was allegedly gang-raped in separate incidents. Her family lodged a missing complaint with Fourth Town police. The victim worked as househelp. A special team of police was formed to nab the 10 accused persons, including her male friend. The victim told the cops that her male friend took her to a hotel and raped her. Later, he called his friend and the two raped her. Later, the girl went to the beach to end her life where a photographer approached her and offered moral support. The man took her to a room where he and seven of his friends confined her for days and gang-raped her.
