CHENNAI: Reiterating his support to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA govt, former Tamil Nadu chief minister O Panneerselvam on Wednesday said the BJP leadership was in constant touch with him for an alliance in general elections.
He was talking to reporters on the sidelines of Modi’s two-day visit to Tamil Nadu.
“The BJP state unit president and national leaders are continuously talking to us.Even today. That is the truth,” he said, flanked by his supporters at his Greenways Road residence.
He, however, hastened to add that he did not seek appointment with the Prime Minister this time.
The former chief minister has convened a meeting of state office bearers and district secretaries in Chennai on Thursday to discuss electoral alliance and adopt a resolution in support of the decision.
