Ludhiana: A 27-year-old man committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance on Tuesday, after which police booked three people, including his wife and her father.
Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Sasrali Colony, was a hosiery worker. He married Amanjot Kaur of Macchian Khurd village on December 14, 2022.
Gurdeep’s father Avtar Singh, in his police complaint, alleged that Amanjot would often fight with his son over petty issues.On January 11 also, ge alleged, the couple had a fight and Amanjot called her father, Dalwara Singh. Dalwara reached their house with a friend, Lakhveer Singh, and the two abused Gurdeep and thrashed him, alleged his father. The father added that Gurdeep ended his life after this. The accused are yet to be arrested. tnn
