Museum of London’s new home at historic market a step closer after roof restored

Chris Johnson, 82, who worked on the roof at Smithfield Market in London, as an apprentice in the 60s, walks across the refurbished copper clad Poultry Market roof, where the new Museum of London will be rehomed on the former meat market site. As part of the project, the City of London Corporation have been undertaking some works to the existing site in process of handing them over to the Museum of London.
