Over-70s spend more time online than nearly all other adults, report shows

The ONS’s findings come as it was revealed that the amount of time that adults in the UK spend on entertainment, socialising and other free time activities has been steadily declining over the last three years since the pandemic – down to an average of three hours and 39 minutes per day between 23 September and 1 October 2023. This is in comparison with four hours and 17 minutes between 5 September and 11 October 2020.
