AYODHYA: The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, announced on Saturday that the construction of the first phase of the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya will be completed by December 15.
Adityanath made this statement after inspecting the ongoing construction work at the international airport, where he was joined by Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation General (Retd) V.K.Singh.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister, along with the Union Ministers, reviewed the progress and also attended a presentation related to the airport’s construction. Adityanath emphasized that Ayodhya, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, is transforming into the new Ayodhya of modern India.
Adityanath highlighted the significance of the project, stating that the small airstrip in Ayodhya, measuring only 178 acres previously, is now being developed into a substantial international airport. The construction is being carried out by the Airports Authority of India on a war footing, with the state government providing 821 acres of land.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the new airport would provide the necessary infrastructure for the development of Ayodhya, contributing to the restoration of the city’s glory. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia mentioned that efforts have been made to reflect the cultural potential of the airport in Ayodhya.
During his visit, Adityanath also performed ‘aarti’ and ‘darshan puja’ at the Hanumangarhi temple, followed by prayers to Ram Lalla. He prayed for the welfare, happiness, and prosperity of the country and the people of the state. Additionally, the progress of the construction of the Ram temple was discussed, with members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust briefing the Chief Minister on the ongoing work.
