AYODHYA: The elaborate seven-day rituals of the Ram Temple consecration ceremony (pran pratishtha) will begin on the banks of the Saryu on January 16. The rituals will culminate with the consecration of Ram Lalla‘s idol on January 22.
This will last 1 minute 24 seconds, according to the ‘muhurt’ decided by the priests of Varanasi. Pandit Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid and Pandit Vishweshwar Shastri said that the ‘mool muhurt’ will start from 12:29:08 pm and end at 12:30:32pm on January 22.
They said that the duration of ‘shuddhi karan’ would last 20 minutes from 6pm to 6:20pm on January 19.Another ‘shuddhi karan’ ritual will be held before sunrise on January 20.
In the past, Pt Ganeshwar Shastri had also decided the time for the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and the foundation stone for Ram temple.
The rituals for the consecration ceremony will begin on January 16 and continue till January 22.
Meanwhile, the throne on which the new idol of Ram Lalla will be installed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is ready. The throne is 3ft high and 8ft wide and is made up of Makrana marble and is covered with gold plates.
