Rain lashes Delhi-NCR, IMD predicts more showers today | Delhi News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Delhi experienced rainfall in the early hours of Sunday. Areas such as Mandi House, RK Puram, Indraprastha, Kartavya Path, and Central Delhi witnessed fresh showers.
On Saturday morning, Delhi also saw a sudden change in weather with strong winds and light showers in areas like Greater Kailash, India Gate, RK Puram and Janpath.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi.
The minimum temperature departure was recorded above normal at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi on Saturday.
IMD expects no significant change in minimum temperatures over northwest India in the next three days, followed by a drop of 3-5 degrees Celsius.
