NEW DELHI: A retired police officer was shot dead by terrorists on Sunday morning inside a mosque in Jammu & Kashmir’s Baramulla.
Mohd Shafiat was offering Azan in a mosque at Gantmulla, Sheeri Baramulla when the terrorists fired upon him. The area has been cordoned off.
“Terrorists fired upon Shri Mohd Shafi, a retired police officer, at Gantmulla, Sheeri Baramulla, while praying Azan in the mosque and succumbed to injuries,” the Kashmir Zone Police said in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
