Patna: Hours after the BJP leaders and supporters took to the streets in Patna to protest the alleged “Bihar DNA” remarks made by Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, the RJDheaded by Lalu Prasad on Friday charged the safrron party with starting the ‘DNA debate’ in Bihar politics. The RJD took potshots at the BJP for raising the issue. “We too condemn such remarks by the Telangana CM, but the practice of questioning leaders’ DNA in politics has been started by none other than PM Narendra Modi himself,” RJD national vice-president Shivanand Tiwari said on Friday.
Reddy had kicked up storms by questioning the “Bihar DNA” while talking to media recntly.

BJP & JD(U) attack Telangana CM-elect for his DNA remarks
Congress’s CM designate for Telangana, Revanth Reddy, faced criticism for belittling the Bihari DNA and the Kurmi caste, to which both Reddy and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar belong. Reddy had initially raised this issue before the assembly elections. Union Minister Nityanand Rai accused Congress of divisive politics and reminded them of PM Narendra Modi’s comments on Nitish’s DNA in 2015. Bihar Minister Ashok Choudhary defended Nitish and highlighted Bihar’s contributions to national culture. BJP spokespersons challenged Nitish to sever ties with Congress and demanded an OBC CM in Telangana.
