Noida: Armed with new-age academic infrastructure and the latest school amenities like auditorium, smart classrooms, laboratories, library, water coolers, and RO, a govt council school inaugurated it’s new school building in Dankaur’s Luksar village in January, 2024.
Built on 2.5 acres of the Luksar Primary School playground, nearly 250 students who were studying in Classes 1 to 8 in Luksar Primary School have been shifted to the new school building on February 1.
The new building is built with CSR funds under SMC Corporation India Pvt Ltd, said officials from education department.
“The entire cost, Rs 9 crore, is borne by the company’s CSR funds. The school is up and running from this month,” said Rahul Pawar, the basic education officer of Gautam Budh Nagar, adding that over 500 students are expected to enrol in the next academic year.
Reassuring the new building is larger and will benefit the students, Satish Kumar, a teacher at the primary school said, “The new building has 10 smart classrooms, laboratories for computer, science and maths, library, water coolers, and RO facility. Unlike the old building, which had only four classrooms, the new one has separate washrooms for boys, girls, and especially abled children.”
The school playground too will be equipped with race tracks and other sports equipment.
Doors to the new school building will be open for new admission in Classes 1 to 8 from 2024, however, there are plans to start Classes 9 to 12 too, said officials.
