Nagpur: Around 150 retired employees have slammed Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) for non-payment of their dues towards gratuity and leave encashment.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, a group of former employees said the divisional officials have withheld the money despite Nagpur bench of Bombay high court ruling in their favour on August 10, 2023.
The matter relates to 2006, when the complainants moved the industrial court for grant of benefits of timescale of pay after completion of 180 days of continuous service. On October 3, 2008, the court directed MSRTC to give all the benefits to these ex-employees. TNN

Zika: Seven more employees of Thalassery court complex in Kannur test positive, preventive steps intensified
Seven more employees at the Thalassery court complex in Kannur, India, have tested positive for the Zika virus, bringing the total number of cases in the area to eight.
