Kanpur: With the arrest of two persons, police busted a gang involved in theft of power transformers.
Following the interrogation of both the persons arrested, police recovered a 400 KVA transformer and 25 small transformers.
Police are searching for four other associates of the accused. Staff of Kesco of Gumti division had recently lodged complaint about theft of transformers at the Fazalganj police station.
Fazalganj police station in charge Ashish Kumar Dwivedi said Gumti division’s junior engineer V K Singh had registered the complaint on Monday and had stated that a 400 KVA transformer was stolen from Sarvadharma Chowk in Gumti area. tnn
